A beautiful and cozy farmhouse located at back waters of Vaitarna dam at Vavi Harsh, Igatpuri.
The site being located at the back waters of Vaitarna dam has a spellbound view. The site had varied levels which were retained. All architectural and landscape elements were juxtaposed to compliment the overall layout without disturbing the existing topography of the site. A mini amphitheatre is placed in ghat pattern where you get a infinite view of backwater and becomes a congregational space in the landscape. The farmhouse is place in such a way that the upper plinth and the lower plinth are complimenting the levels of site, avoiding the back filling cost and indirectly creating interesting spaces accordingly.
A beautiful driveway directs you to the main stairs which guides you towards the first level where you have the main farmhouse and further at the lower level where you have a recreational space / common dining space. At the upper level you are greeted by a emphatic space where we have introduced a skylight which invites a beautiful natural light inside at day time and reflects artificial interior light in the evening time. Living, Dining and Kitchen are at the linear end with a deck aligned to it with a beautiful view of the back waters. All three bedrooms are located at the sideways. All bathrooms have skylights which adds a bloom to the overall space.
A swimming pool is located at the lower level with a meandering pathway which guides to all the interesting spaces in the landscapes.
